Addiction Services
Compassionate, collaborative support for recovery, from in-home injections to psychiatric medication management
A Different Approach to Addiction Treatment
Addiction recovery isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is our approach. At New Path Psychiatry, we bring together medication management and in-home injectable support, all coordinated with your existing treatment team.
Dr. Amanda Lefkowitz holds specialized experience in addiction medicine and understands that recovery involves forces beyond individual willpower. We use language and approaches that respect the recovery community's understanding of addiction.
Our Addiction Services
Vivitrol & Injectable Medications
Our signature offering, monthly Vivitrol (naltrexone) injections administered in your home by our registered nurse Linda. No clinic visits, no disruption. Available as a standalone service (keeping your existing psychiatrist) or as part of comprehensive treatment with Amanda. Linda can take on various responsibilities, is supportive to the recovery and healing process, and can help with medication organization.

Psychiatric medication management specifically tailored for patients with substance use disorders. Amanda manages the full picture, addressing co-occurring conditions like depression, anxiety, and trauma alongside addiction.

Emerging research connects GLP-1 medications to reduced cravings beyond food. For patients where it's clinically appropriate, we can integrate GLP-1 prescribing into addiction treatment.

If you already have a psychiatrist, therapist, or sober living facility, we don't replace them. We add to your team.
- For referring psychiatrists: Amanda can manage the Vivitrol component while you continue overseeing psychiatric care. She sends you a summary after each check-in.
- For therapists: We coordinate on treatment goals, medication responses, and any concerns, the same collaborative model we use across all our services.
- For sober living facilities: We provide structured injectable medication support for residents, with direct communication to your clinical staff.
Our Commitment
We understand that addiction involves forces beyond individual control. We respect the recovery community's frameworks and avoid language that implies recovery is simply about willpower or "taking control." Our approach meets patients where they are.
